How to upgrade our iman?

Iman is the belief and submission. Thus, they are ways on how to increase the belief and faith and upgrading our iman. Let’s share on how to improve and upgrade our iman

1. Read and understand the Quran

It is not only reading but at the same time, we have to try understanding the Quran. For us, it is better to have a Quran with translation because as we read, we can always look at the meaning and try to understand the word of Allah. Al-Quran is the mukjizat given by Allah to our beloved Prophet. Reading the Quran with an understanding about its message will enlarge our faith that Quran is the message from Allah not the book created by human. There are numerous of verses of the Quran that indicate the Greatness of Allah. For example, the verse that talk about the creation of human being starting form the stage of nutfah :

(ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً) (سورة المؤمنون14)

“then of that fluid-drop (nutfa) We created a leech-like clot" (23:14) .

The scientific research that has taken place nowadays prove that the first stage of the development of embryo is the stage of nutfah which has been mentioned in the Quran 1400 years ago. Subhanallah!

2. Tadabbur with the Greatness of Allah’s creation

Tadabbur here means that we look for the creation of Allah, we impress by the completeness of its creation and from that we can understand that Allah, the Creator of all the creation in this world, is the only God that deserved to be worshiped.

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالاً كَثِيراً وَنِسَاء

O mankind! Be careful of your duty to your Lord Who created you from a single soul and from it created its mate and from them has spread a multitude of men and women.

3. Increase and improve our Ibadah

We are encouraged to increase our ibadah time by time. Starting with the ibadah that is compulsory on us such as solat 5 times per day and fasting during the month of Ramadhan, we are also highlt recommended to improve the recommendation ibadah for example giving the alms to the needy and helping the orphanage.
